Google developers
Google Developer Student Club (GDSC) is a program presented by Google Developers. GDSCs are university based community groups for students. Students from all undergraduate or graduate programs with an interest in growing as a developer are welcome. By joining a GDSC, students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their community.
GDSC at Earlham will focus on building competitive programing and problem resolution skills to represent the school in nationwide competitions. We will also be having weekly meetings that jump from learning the google cloud basics and competitive programing tournaments with fun prizes like gift cards and software. Finally we want to cause an impact on the local community, thus we are enrolled in the Solution Challenge. The Google Developer Student Clubs 2022 Solution Challenge mission is to solve for one of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals using Google technology.
Created by the United Nations in 2015 to be achieved by 2030, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agreed upon by all 193 United Nations Member States aim to end poverty, ensure prosperity, and protect the planet.
