Help Wanted -- Computer Programmer

We are looking for a programmer that wants to be involved with the entire scope of a project, rather than simply working from a technical specification written by someone else. Computer programmers at AEI must have personal initiative in understanding the whole project, from becoming knowledgeable about our customers and what is really needed to meet their program objectives, through helping design computer programs for electro-mechanical systems that delivers a product meeting those objectives. A fundamental understanding of how things work that leads to a highly efficient computer program for system operation is highly desirable. AEI employees must also be able to work with minimal supervision.

Programmers at AEI are involved with developing programs for engine testing, databases, embedded systems for the instrumentation product line, high speed DMA based acquisition, gui interfaces, and several other computer-related projects.

Computer programming positions are available for a range of skill sets, from minimal experience to highly experienced. The type of experience that will be particularly useful in our present projects are: Labview, C++, Microsoft Visual Basic, and Ruby. Programs are written in both Linux and Windows environment, depending on the customer requirement. Multiprocess, threading, API function knowledge, and database programming experience are also a plus.
