Nathaniel Smith

Immediately after graduating Nathaniel was a Web Application Developer with local Summersault, LLC. In January 2011 he started as a Software Developer with Cox Media Group Digital in Atlanta, GA where he works applying Python and Django to the needs of media organizations like the Atlanta Journal Constitution, WSBTV, and the Clark Howard show.
He loved his time as a CS student at Earlham and continues to immerse himself in the field. He is very interested in the intersection of art and programming and focuses primarily on computer-assisted poetry and music. He maintains an active github account and puts all of his personal projects there.

"I chose a math major because it was less hassle than inventing my own CS major. No regrets . . . I just moved to Texas (yeah, but it's a hot kinda heat), and just started consulting for big bucks at MCI. Had to abandon a great job (14 years) in AT&T/Lucent research. So it goes..." - Alan enjoys bungy jumping and white water canoeing when he's not being important in the CS field (not really)."
