WebDB in a nutshell
WebDB is an attempt to be a one stop access point to a wealth of information regarding its users. It is a site where one can look up personal information about themselves, such as their academic standing, courses they've taken, their current schedule, and a wealth of other personal information. WebDB further allows members of Earlham College to register for courses via the web, and thus not have to deal with a plethora of printed documents in the process. It can perform other functions as well, including, but not limited to mass emailing entire classes, looking up contact information for members of the college, granting access to documents only meant for the Earlham Community, and keeping track of hours for work-study students.
This site is recognition of the fact that many of the students who work for WebDB come from the CS Department at Earlham. It is here to document WebDB's roots as well as to give a basic background and explanation for the uninitiated. Feel free to browse this site, or, better yet, if you are a member, log in and see what WebDB is all about.
