Stale Popov (v.Melnica, Mariovo, 1902 - Skopje, 1965) is one of
the most read macedonian authors and famous among the readers of all
ages. He is the author of the novels Krpen Zivot, Kales Anga,
Tole-pasa, and others. He published the stories about Itar Pejo.
With great love he writes about the people of his own region - Mariovo,
and he uses the Mariovo dialect. Working for a long time as a teacher he has learned the nature of the children and so he has written most of his literary works for the children.
