Simon Drakul (Lazaropole, 1930) is a distinguished macedonian
author. He studied in Ohrid and Skopje, and now lives and works in
Skopje. A subject of most of Drakul's works is the past Macedonia. He has written the collections of short stories Planinite i dalecinite, Vetli vo porojot, the novels I dzvezdite pagaat sami, Belata Dolina, and others, among which, in 1990 he published the novel in 4 books Ili smrt. He also writes plays and film scenarios.
