Dimitar Solev (Skopje, 1930) is a distinguished macedonian writer. He got his education in Bor, Skopje, and Belgrade. His literary work is rich and various. Some of his most important work includes Okopneti snegovi, Po rekata i sproti nea, Slovo za igora (short stories). He has also written the following novels: Pod usvitenost and Kratkata prolet na Mono Samonikov. Apart from that he writes plays too. For the novel-like biography of Vasil Antevski-Dren, which was published in 1980, Dimitar Solev got the Racin prize. He has also won the '11-th of October' prize. He now lives and works in Skopje.
