University of Canterbury Field Stations

The University of Canterbury operates several field stations on the S. Island that are perfect for groups. We used the Cass station in 2008 and tried to book the Kaikoura station but it was booked up by other groups. Recommend booking as far ahead of time as possible. It might also be possible to work with UC on coordinating visiting lectures at the stations. See the website for contact information.
The Cass station is situated ideally. Close to Arthurs Pass NP and excellent for field work in alpine ecology, geology, or field science in general. Costs are quite reasonable.
