The Beam

Description

A large wooden beam about 10 feet in length suspended between two trees approximately 9 feet off ground.

Objective

For the group to get up and over the beam to the other side.

Safety Concerns

Max of 2 people on top of beam at any given time (plus one in transit)

Make sure everybody know proper spotting technique

A person's head should never be below their feet

No jumping off beam

Participants must go up and down with their stomach facing the beam

Participants may not touch cables, trees to help themselves up

Spotters must be on both sides

Watch for kicking feet, flying dirt in eyes

Keep lifters spotted at all times by holding on to feet
