Description

The Spider's Web is a rope web strung between two trees. There are typically 10 to 15 holes which participants climb through. The top border of the web should not be higher that what a group can safely lift a person (usually about 6 feet from ground).

Objective

To get the group from one side of the web to the other without touching any part of the web while staying within the pre-defined boundaries of the task that you describe to the group. Usually each hole can only be used once (depends on size of group). You'll need to determine what consequences are for touching web. Some frame it as group gets to decide how many touches they will consider acceptable. Others balance a stick in the web and as long as it does not fall out, group is OK. Also, what happens if group exceed amount of touches? Start over? Other consequences (no talking, loss of "limb", etc.)

Safety Concerns

Makes sure the group knows spotting procedures.

Running and diving are not allowed.

Participants may not go over the top of the web, or around it.

No person's head should be above their feet

Participants must go through feet first
