Cotton is allowed due to warmer temperatures, however, use in minimal amounts.
underwear( preferably synthetic--polyester, nylon, polypropylene, etc.) for a base layer, although if you prefer to not wear undies that’s fine as well.
Shorts ("...")-For a foundational or base layer, you'll probably leave these on most of the time we'll be hiking.
long underwear (“…”)-especially good for if it becomes very cold during the night or the occasional thunderstorm.
pants (“…”)-good not only for cooler weather, but also if it is necessary to walk off trail pants protect your legs better. Gators are also good for this, but they're optional.
long sleeved shirt (“…”)-secondary layer in case it cools off or gets cloudy
short sleeved shirt (“…”)-base layer to wear when it is warm
Fleece sweater-outer layer in case it gets very cold
Warm hat-to wear at night in case of low temperatures
Two pairs of wool composite socks
Good hiking boots
Camp shoes (close toed, old tennis shoes are best)
Bowl and spoon
Two cotton bandanas
Nylon rain jacket
Nylon rain paints
