  • You can find cheaper fares by first purchasing a flight from your departure city to LAX or San Francisco and then purchasing your flight from LAX or SF to Auckland (if you bundle them together you tend to get higher fares for the whole itinerary). Stop-overs in Fiji (Nadi airport) can usually be arranged for no additional cost- and actually sometimes may be cheaper- but be advised- it extends your flight time and layover times). In any case, you should plan a minimum of three hours layover between your domestic and international transfers. See the Rough Guide for more information on purchasing tickets to NZ. Once in Auckland, the program will pay for and help arrange your travel to Wanganui.
