Yoho National Park Backpacking Adventure

Course Summary
During this adventure you will find yourself at the foot of glaciers, atop mountains, and beside Canada's tallest waterfall. We will being hiking these mountains for a period of four days. Little experience is required to participate. However, one must be physically prepared as you will be hiking steep and long paths. This advenventure will be both educational and enjoyable(I know it is hard to believe these are not mutually exclusive). You will learn and practice the basic skills to wilderness survival. These skills range from becoming an expert chef with mostly dry foods to coping with lack of accesable toilets. Most importantly, you will be able to escape the stresses of your modernized world and gain a sense of community with the outdoors. One cannot comprehend such enlightenment until he or she has had such an experience, so come with an open mind, well prepared to have fun.
Trip Dates and Locations
The trip will be held from August 1st through the 6th. You must find your own transportaion to the Calgary airport. Prices range depending upon place of departure(e.i.- from Indianapolis it may cost anywere from $400 to $600). From here you will be transported via our shuttle to the Yoho National Park Hostel. We will then spend the 2nd of August at the hostel for orientaion purposes as well as allowing you to get to know your fellow participates. On the 3rd we hit the trail. Shuttle back to the Calgary airport will be given on the 6th, 7th, and 8th. If you have special transportation needs contact Jack Killen at 317-966-9023.
