Everyone has more fun when they are dressed properly

Footwear

__1 pair hiking boots

__1 pair liner socks (helps prevent blisters)

__2 pairs wool socks (incase one pair gets wet)

Underwear

Women

__ 1-2 pairs of underwear or shorts with built in liner(can be cotton but spandexor polyester is better)

__ 1 spandex sports bra (optional)

Men

__ reccomended shorts with built in underwear liner

__ or one pair of non-cotton boxer-breifs

Sun Layer

__ 1 pair of quick dry shorts(nylon or polyester)

__ 1 short-sleeve shirt (polyester/nylon)

__ 1 hat to protect your face/head/neck from the sun

First insulation layer

__ 1 Pair Long underwear bottoms (make sure you can fit 2 other layers over this layer!)

__ 1 Long underwear top (make sure you can fit 2 other layers over this layer!)

Second insulation layer

__ 1 100 pile (light weight) fleece top

__ 1 pair fleece pants or synthetic pants that are warmer than long underwear

Third Insulation Layer

__ 1 200 weight pile jacket/fleece that can fit comfortably over first two layers, wind proof reccomended

Wind/Rain protection

__ 1 Wind/rain proof pants that fit comfortably over other insulation layers

__ 1 Wind/rain proof jacket shell (with hood) that can fit comfortably over other insulation layers

Other things

__ 1 wool hat

__ 1 pair of mittens/gloves

__ 1 pair of sunglasses with 100% UV ray protection

Personal Gear/Equipment

__ 2 open mouth Nalgenes or water bottles

__ 1 compass

__ 1 Whistle

__ 1 Tupperware bowl (w/ lid reccomended)

__ 1 insulated spoon

__ 1 insulated mug (for hot drinks!)

__ 1 toothbrush

__one small bottle of toothpaste

__small bottle of sunscreen

__one small bottle of bug repellent

__mosquito/bug mask

__ medication (if needed)

__ 0 degree sleeping bag

__ 1 sleeping bag liner

__ sleeping pad

__ 2-3 Bandannas (have a variety of purposes)

__ swiss army knife

__ head lamp (reccomended) but flashlight would work too

__ gaitors (optional--help keep mud/dirt/sticks/water out of boots)
