For my project, I will be creating a Network Management Tool which will hopefully facilitate in the management of many computers in a large LAN where things are not always homogeneous from place to place. More specifically, I will be emphasizing on the Software Development steps required for a large organized project. Due to the nature of my project and the fact that I will hopefully not be the only end-user of this product, I will be putting special emphasis on the Requirements Analysis stage of the development. My user-base will be the System & Network Administrators, and the Academic Computing Coordinator for Earlham College Computing Services. My selection of these individuals is due to their interaction with the configuration of new computers as they arrive on site and the sub-systems that are involved in the addition of said computer to the College network.

To establish a background for my project, I will be researching the importance of the Requirements Analysis stage of Software Development and the different things that must be considered prior to beginning a project of significant size. This shall include (but is by no means limited to):
