The campus power consumption project was started to monitor the daily electrical power consumption on Earlham College campus. This project is currently under progress. The HIP group bought a Single Board Computer that runs a distribution of Linux Operating System, with 10/100 Ethernet capabilities,and serial communication capabilities. Our hope is to install the SBC next to the power grid, and get the load from that and send it to another computer on the CS subnet. The SBC that we are using will run on Solar Power.
