These are our male sheep, we're keeping them separated from the flock until late August so
we can predict (to some extent) when breeding and hence birthing will take place. The gestation
period is about 6 months and ovulation doesn't start until late July or so which means we're
almost always doing the lambing shuffle during the dead of winter. Lambs born in January and
February almost always do better than late lambs born in March or April.
