Earlham College invites applications for a one-year Post-Baccalaureate Internship for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Duties: Primary responsibility for administration of the CS/Math/Physics computing facilities and leadership of the System and Network Administrators and Content Administrators Applied CS groups. (See http://cs.earlham.edu/pages/groups.html.) Additional duties may include those of Teaching Assistant for one or more courses as well as helping to coordinate CS TAs. In addition the holder of this position will normally complete, in each semester, one course that is relevant to their plans for future study or employment.

Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline, extensive experience with $\ast$nix-based systems and the ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a group are required. In addition, experience administering Linux and BSD-derived systems and in maintaining critical systems with large user bases would be helpful.

Reports to: The holder of this position will report to the CS faculty as a whole, meeting with them at the regular weekly Department meetings as well as whenever necessary between meetings. As the leader of two Applied CS groups, the holder of this position will also meet together with the other leaders of Applied groups at their regularly scheduled (usually weekly) meetings.

Salary and benefits: 12-month salary (July to June) plus tuition waiver for one course per semester, as required by the duties of the position, and participation in Earlham College's Group Medical Benefit Plan (Health Plan). Participation in the Health Plan requires a contribution from the participant. Currently this is 0.55% of salary for Employee only coverage.
